Security at Crypto 4 Rands

Trust matters when you trade crypto. Here is how we protect your account, your payments and your coins — and what you can do to stay safe.

Your coins go to your own wallet

  • We do not hold your crypto in an account on our side. Once your payment is verified, coins are sent directly to the wallet address you provide.
  • Because you control your wallet's private keys, your coins are never exposed to a platform hack or exchange failure on our side.
  • When you sell, your Rands are paid straight into your own South African bank account.

Verified EFT payments

  • Every order gets a unique payment reference so your deposit can be matched to you accurately.
  • Each payment and proof of payment is checked by our team before any crypto or Rands are released. We may take as long as needed to verify a payment.
  • We only show bank details inside the app and in our official emails. We will never ask you to pay into a different account by phone, WhatsApp or social media.

Wallet address and network checks

  • When you enter a wallet address, the app checks that it matches the coin and network you selected (BTC, ETH, or USDT on TRC-20 / ERC-20).
  • Orders with an address that does not match are blocked before they are placed, helping prevent lost funds.
  • Blockchain transfers cannot be reversed, so always double-check your address before confirming.

Account protection

  • All traffic to crypto4rands.co.za is encrypted with HTTPS (TLS).
  • Passwords are never stored in readable form, and each email address can only be linked to one account.
  • You only ever see your own orders, deposits and tickets — other clients' information is kept private.
  • We email you when important account details change, so you can act quickly if it wasn't you.

Fraud prevention

  • We monitor activity for suspicious behaviour and may pause, verify or suspend accounts to protect clients.
  • We may request identity or proof-of-address documents in line with South African anti-money-laundering rules.
  • Prices are checked against live market data, and outdated rates are never used for new orders.

How to stay safe

  • Only sign in at https://crypto4rands.co.za — check the address bar every time.
  • Use a strong, unique password and never share it, even with someone claiming to be from Crypto 4 Rands.
  • Our staff will never ask for your password, wallet seed phrase or private keys.
  • Be wary of anyone promising guaranteed returns or asking you to send crypto to 'unlock' funds.
  • Keep your wallet's seed phrase offline and private.
