1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Crypto 4 Rands website, mobile app and services (together, the "Service") operated from South Africa. By creating an account or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must be a South African resident with a valid SA bank account in your own name.
- You must be legally allowed to buy and sell crypto assets in your jurisdiction.
- You must not be on any sanctions list.
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials safe and for every action taken on your account. Tell us immediately at support@crypto4rands.co.za if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms or applicable law.
4. KYC and verification
We may ask for identity and proof-of-address documents before, during or after any transaction, in line with South African AML/CFT rules. We may pause or refuse transactions until verification is completed satisfactorily.
5. Buying and selling
- Live rates on the site are indicative. The rate that applies to your order is the one confirmed when your deposit is received and matched.
- Buy orders: settle by EFT to the bank details on the deposit page using your unique reference; crypto is sent to the wallet address you supplied once funds clear.
- Sell orders: send the exact crypto amount to the address we provide; ZAR is paid to your SA bank account after the required network confirmations.
- Blockchain fees may apply and are shown before you confirm.
- Once crypto is sent on-chain, the transaction is irreversible.
6. Rates, fees and slippage
Our buy and sell rates include a spread over the mid-market price. Fees are shown before you confirm each order. Rates change with market conditions; delays in EFT clearance may cause the settlement rate to differ from the rate first quoted.
7. Deposits, refunds and cancellations
- Deposits without a valid reference may be delayed or returned less banking fees.
- You may cancel an order before it is matched. Once matched, you cannot cancel.
- Refunds for cancelled or rejected orders are paid to the source bank account after any applicable fees.
8. Wallet addresses
You are responsible for providing correct wallet addresses on the correct network. We cannot recover crypto sent to a wrong address or wrong network.
9. Prohibited use
- Money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions evasion or any illegal activity.
- Using another person's identity, bank account or funds.
- Automated abuse, scraping, or attacking the Service.
- Uploading malware, offensive or infringing content in support messages.
10. Risk disclosure
Crypto assets are volatile and their value can drop to zero. Nothing on the Service is financial advice. You trade at your own risk and should only trade what you can afford to lose.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Crypto 4 Rands is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for losses caused by market movements, blockchain congestion, third-party wallet errors, or events outside our reasonable control. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the value of the transaction giving rise to the claim.
12. Referral programme
Referral rewards are paid at our discretion under the rules published on the Refer & Earn page. We may amend, suspend or cancel the programme at any time.
13. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy forms part of these Terms.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms. The current version is always at crypto4rands.co.za/terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of South African courts.
